Birkenbihl method in learning languages

So here I am again ...

Tak tady (I) jsem zas ...


You surely know the feeling of "l'esprit de l'escalier",
 Vy jistě znát ta nálada o "l'esprit de l'escalier",

that feeling when you leave a conversation and think of all the things you should have said
ten pocit když vy/ty opouštět konverzaci a myslet na všechny ty věci vy/ty by mít řekl 

and the right words are coming too late to be able to change your reaction
a (-) správná slova přichází příliš pozdě (-) umět (-) změnit tvou/vaši reakci

... and of course the attitude of your communicating companion ...
... a přirozeně (-) postoj (-) tvůj/váš komunikující společník ...

... despite the fact that it may only be due to the linguistry.
... přestože to může jen být kvůli znalosti jazyků.


The same applies when you learn something new and wish "oh, I should have known this person/method/country ... ages ago" ...
Totéž platí když se naučíte něco nového a přejete si "ach, měl jsem znát tuto osobu/metodu/zemi ... před lety" ...

For me it was the discovery of the Birkenbihl method in learning languages.
(basic description is available also in Czech or German, for other languages ask Google :)) 
Pro mne to bylo seznámení se s metodou Very F.Birkenbihl při učení jazyků.
(základní popis je dostupný v angličtině, češtině nebo němčině, na další jazyky se ptejte Googlu :))

The method was developed by Vera F.Birkenbihl (1946-2011) based on the principles the brain works. It is similar to the way the kids learn to speak.
Metoda byla vyvinuta Verou F.Birkenbihl (1946-2011) na základě principů práce mozku. Podobá se to způsobu jak se děti učí mluvit.



So I'll give it a try with Norwegian - although I can communicate in English in Norway, I'd love to be able to read at least the headlines while visiting without the need to bother my relatives asking all the time "what this mean?".
Tak ji zkusím s norštinou - přestože se domluvím v Norsku anglicky, ráda bych si při návštěvách přečetla aspoň titulky bez nutnosti obtěžovat příbuzenstvo neustálými dotazy "co tohle znamená?".


What about you? After all they say "the more languages you know, the more you are a person" ...
A co ty/vy? Koneckonů se říká "kolik jazyků znáš, tolikrát jsi člověkem" ...   

On the road again ... / Opět na cestě ...

Thanks to the closure of another stage of my life and an expected arrival of a new baby to the family I'm on the road again ...
this time I've driven "to the North, to the North, never to be caught" (Frank Turner: The Road), those who know me - or to whom I told :) - can guess I'am now in Norway.

Díky uzavření další etapy mého života a očekávání nového mimina do rodiny jsem opět na cestách ... 
tentokrát jsem jela "to the North, to the North, never to be caught" (Frank Turner: The Road), ti, kdo mě znají - nebo kterým jsem to řekla :) - uhodnou, že jsem v Norsku.


I could write an essay about Norway, its beauty, places worth sightseeing ...

Mohla bych napsat esej o Norsku, jeho kráse, zajímavých pamětihodnostech ...


... but that you can find elsewhere on the net - with photos, reviews, coordinates, weather forecasts, you can even go up Spiralen tunnel in Drammen, Norway without getting out of your house -  on Youtube
(provided you have a computer and are connected to the internet - almost a necessity in civilized countries and 21st century ;)).

... ale to najdete jinde na internetu - s fotkami, recenzemi, zeměpisnou délkou a šířkou, předpovědí počasí, dokonce si můžete projet Spiralen tunnel v Drammenu, Norsko aniž byste opustili pohodlí vlastního domu - na Youtube (pokud máte počítač a připojení k internetu - téměř nezbytnost v civilizovaných zemích a 21.století ;))


... so I'd rather endorse the advantages and disadvantages of being wrong age ...
seeing that
- to appreciate and understand what was going on in the sixties I was too young
- for carefree travelling abroad that for us from the eastern block became available only after the fall of the iron curtain at the end of the eighties I was too old and had kids
- now I'm too young to spend all the time of my retirement JUST by "pondering about immortality of a beetle", at the same time too wise to pretend I'm 20 years younger ...

... tak raději potvrdím výhody a nevýhody vlastní existence "v blbým věku" ...
jelikož
- pro uvědomění si a pochopení co se dělo v letech 60tých jsem byla moc malá
- pro bezstarostné cestování za poznáním s pár korunami v kapse, které nám z východního bloku umožnil až pád železné opony na konci let 80tých, jsem byla stará a měla děti
- teď jsem příliš mladá, abych celý důchodový věk věnovala JEN "přemítání o nesmrtelnosti chrousta", ale taky příliš zkušená, abych předstírala, že jsem o 20 let mladší ...

Throughout the years I've learned a lot and I'm going to use the experiences to set up an international meeting place using a former cow-house in a village Skalka by Nová Bystřice in Czech Canada.

V průběhu let jsem se mnohému naučila a své zkušenosti využiji při zřizování mezinárodního centra v bývalém kravíně ve Skalce u Nové Bystřice v České Kanadě.
